Veterinary Philosophy
We work hard to be Allen’s leading animal care provider. That means outfitting our clinic with cutting-edge technology and hiring smart, caring people to bring the furry members of your family the best care possible.

Local, loving care for your dog or cat in Allen.
At Allen Family Vet, you and your companion are our top priority. From same day vet appointments to unhurried face time with your veterinarian, we care for the details just as we care for your pet. We thrive on wagging tails and smiling faces and treat every pet like one of our own. After all, your family is part of our family.
“We love Dr. Shiplov & Dr. Davis! We would never go anywhere else.”

Heather C.
Practice Manager
Heather is a new practice manager with Allen Family Vet, who joined us in January 2021. Her creativity and leadership skills have been a great contribution to the clinic, playing a vital role in our day-to-day operations. Her career in the veterinary field began in 2011, when she started as a veterinary technician at a specialty hospital in Dallas, where she got her training in oncology and internal medicine and ventured into management at a vet hospital in Wylie, Texas.
She is very passionate about her job and has such a strong love for animals and can’t imagine not being able to work with pets. She enjoys meeting our clients, getting to know them, and loving on their pets that come in to see us. Heather and her husband live in Plano with their pitbull, Tom. When she is not working, you will find her spending time with her husband, spoiling her niece and nephews, or crafting at home.

Erin
Veterinary Technician
Erin grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana. She went to Purdue University, where she studied animal science. I have always had multiple pets growing up, and the only time I haven’t had at least one cat was during my freshman year at Purdue in the dorm. She moved to Texas in 2003. She has 2 cats, both of which she brought home from our clinic. Gus and Walter are 3 years old and are always up to some kind of trouble. She enjoys going to the movies, cooking, and traveling. Been a vet tech for 17 years and here at AVC for 8 years.

Gillian M.
Receptionist
I was always one to opt to play with stuffed animals or animal-themed toys when I was younger rather than human dolls, which translated into me knowing I wanted to work closely with them. From working in a professional pet-sitting business to doggie daycare, and now a receptionist at Allen Family Vet. I love getting to meet new furry friends and playing a part in helping dogs and cats get as healthy as they can be. I especially have a soft spot for Boston Terriers, Golden doodles, and Airedale Terriers. I obtained a Certification in Human Resources and an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Collin College in 2019. I have always had so much respect for what veterinarians and vet technicians do. Although I never studied to become one myself, I have always wanted to work in a veterinary clinic! I feel that the role of a receptionist is an incredibly important one. I love gathering details regarding the concerns pet parents are calling in for and getting them the best care they deserve. A lot of pet parents can be anxious about trying a new veterinary clinic, and I enjoy being the first person to talk with them to ease any anxieties they may have and assure them they have picked the right place. I am a very joyful person and always try to have a smile on, and I feel that characteristic is best used in a place such as a veterinary clinic. When I am not at the hospital, I can be found playing tennis, watching the newest scary movie with my husband, spending time with my dog Rusty, teaching 1st graders about Jesus on Sundays, cooking, going on my break to Torchy’s Tacos (my favorite restaurant) and browsing all the shops at Watters Creek with friends I am feline and canine CPR certified

Dr. Tara Moll
Veterinarian
Dr. Tara Moll graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She returned to the Dallas area with her husband to be close to their families. Their fur family currently includes five purr-fectly unique cats, but they hope to welcome the perfect dog into their home one day.
Dr. Moll previously worked in shelter medicine but missed seeing her patients grow throughout their lives. She particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery and preventive care. She loves educating pet parents to help them best care for their pets at all ages

Natalie W.
Veterinary Technician
I’ve always had a love for animals. I’ve always known that animals have the best souls and that you should treasure them. I have 12 years of experience in this field. I wanted to be in a position that I felt passionate about and that also felt rewarding at the end of the day. I also wanted to be a voice for the animals. When I am not working, I enjoy working out, watching movies, going boating, swimming, and hanging out with friends

Desiree D.
Veterinary Technician
Since I was little, I have loved animals and wanted to care for them. I really enjoy learning about how animals’ bodies work and the different ways to figure out issues the animal is having. I still have a lot to learn as I have only had about a year and a half of experience. My love for animals and interest in caring for them. My two-year-old son Elijah is my world! We love to spend time with his cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents!
